Who Qualifies?
The GRH program provides an unscheduled ride home (or to your car) for commuters who carpool, vanpool, bike, or take transit to get to work. You must register by completing and signing the program application prior to needing service. Your employment and worksite location may be verified. You will be eligible for the program after the application has been completely processed by RideSmart and you have been sent a confirmation letter.
Please do not wait until you need a ride home to register as you will not be immediately eligible.
What Conditions Qualify?
Registered participants will receive a ride home if one of the following occurs:
■ You or your carpool /vanpool partner needs to leave work early unexpectedly and you are stranded; or
■ You or your carpool /vanpool partner needs to work mandatory unscheduled overtime and you do not have
a way to get home or to your car.
What Conditions Do Not Qualify?
You cannot use the GRH program for a ride to work, a trip to a medical facility, personal errands, intermittent stops, scheduled appointments, medical appointments, scheduled overtime, company-wide emergencies or closures, business-related travel, termination of employment, side trips, vehicular failures, transportation system and/or provider closures or failures, work-related and/or bodily injury, 911 emergencies, inclement weather, natural disasters or acts of God.
