Are you looking for a better way to get to work?
More than 115,000 people commute to the Central Perimeter every day, many of them spending too much time, money and stress just sitting in traffic.
But it doesn’t have to be that way: The Perimeter Transportation Coalition is here to help you find a cheaper, easier, less stressful way to get to and from work. And we’ll even reward you for choosing an alternative to driving alone.
Get started now by browsing your many options and learning how you can win cash and prizes for taking an alternative.
Carpool
Carpooling can greatly reduce the number of cars on the road as well as save you time, gas, and stress. You can even earn gas cards. Learn more about carpooling and how to find a ride sharing partner.
Vanpool
A vanpool is a group of 8-15 commuters who share a ride in a leased van and for every vanpool formed, 7-14 cars are removed from the road, making vanpools one of the Perimeter’s best tools for reducing traffic congestion.
Transit
Let someone else do the driving! With four MARTA stations in the area, transit is a great choice for Perimeter commuters. PTC also offers reduced monthly MARTA Breeze cards. Find out more about area transit.
Shuttles
Travel the last mile. Various property and employer shuttles get you from the MARTA stations to your office building. See a schedule and map here.
Walking
The Perimeter is one of the most pedestrian-friendly business districts in the area and walking to work is an attractive option for those living in the Perimeter. Learn how PTC will reward you.
Biking
The Perimeter has seen significant improvements in bike accessibility over the last few years and boasts some of the best bike paths in the area. Learn about available resources and incentives for biking to work.
Guaranteed Ride Home Program
Don’t let unexpected overtime or illness during the work day prevent you from a clean commute; you may qualify for a free taxi ride home. Learn more about how the program works and to register.
Alternative Work Arrangements
For some, the cleanest commute is not commuting at all. Employers who offer alternative work arrangements such as teleworking, job sharing, or flexible work schedules can make a real reduction in traffic congestion, stress levels, and gas savings.
