Introducing PTSC

For 14 years our organization has helped commuters find cheaper, easier, less stressful ways to get to work.  And we’ve been close partners with our business and property clients – helping them save thousands of dollars in taxes, win awards, and create more competitive, attractive workplaces – recruiting and retaining the best employees and tenants.  Much of our success has come from our ability to create community momentum, and to help our clients leverage resources that they might not have access to alone – through the fact that we represent a coalition of businesses and commuters.  The discount transit card program is a great example – pooling the buying power of many companies in the Perimeter to get a bigger discount from MARTA than any company could get on its own.

We believe the addition of “sustainability” to our name opens up opportunities for the PTSC to apply the same sort of coalition approach to greening our buildings, operations and maintenance, purchasing procedures, and energy use.  Whether it’s a market-wide electronic recycling effort, identifying affordable sources for alternative fuels or energy, or helping companies with green building certifications – we think the PTSC can be the same valuable resource we have been with transportation options.  So, sustainable transportation choices remains our most important service – but will be one of many others that helps create a more competitive, more economically healthy, greener Perimeter.

In the coming weeks and months you will see changes to our website, our marketing materials, and our products and services that represent the change to our mission.  We are very excited about the new opportunities, and look forward to working with all of you for a better Perimeter.
