About Us

The Perimeter Transportation Coalition (PTC) is a Transportation Management Association (TMA) charged with a) relieving traffic congestion and improving air quality in the Central Perimeter business district in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, and b) helping businesses and employees find easier, cheaper and less stressful ways of getting to and from work.

To accomplish its objectives, the PTC leverages relationships with large employers and property management companies in the market.  Some of the key clients of the PTC include UPS, Cox Enterprises, Saint Joseph’s Hospital, AutoTrader.com, CH2M Hill, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Mirant, Cousins Properties, Jones Lang LaSalle, and CBRE Properties.  The PTC is currently working with more than 80 employers and 40 commercial office properties.  Events, programs, incentives, and campaigns at these clients provide access to employees and tenants in the Perimeter – allowing the PTC to educate and motivate commuters to try alternatives to driving alone.

Annually, the PTC’s events, programs, and marketing reach more than 65,000 commuters in the Perimeter business market.  The PTC also works closely with the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCID), cities of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs, the Clean Air Campaign, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), and various neighborhood and residential associations.

Transportation Management AssociationsTMAs, have been around for nearly 30 years, usually in mixed-used, high density Activity Centers – such as the Central Perimeter.   In 2010 Metro Atlanta will have eight TMAs.  They bring public and private organizations together to tackle traffic congestion and air-quality issues that affect a specific geographic area. TMAs work very closely with each other, and with the Clean Air Campaign.
